After years of purchasing rats from pet stores, we decided
to adopt our next pets from Merri Whiskers. Well, we couldn't be happier!
Desiree is a wonderfully caring proprietor and is extremely knowledgeable
about these little creatures. She's always been willing to answer
any questions we've had concerning health and husbandry and has often
followed up with additional information. She also has a keen interest
in the long-term wellbeing of the animals she adopts out. For instance,
she recently e-mailed to ask how our girls were recovering from their
spay surgeries. Desiree clearly pays lots of attention to her pups
so that they will grow into gentle, playful, and curious adult rats,
and we've really appreciated her efforts: our girls are just a joy!

We are very happy that we found you. Our two boys, Lestat
and Moon, are extremely cuddly. They love to sit in our laps while
we watch tv and they even groom us when we are scratching, or petting
them. They are by far the friendliest and healthiest rats we have
ever had. I highly recommend you to any one looking for pet rats and
you definitely have a repeat customer. :-)

Merri Whiskers breeds healthy, pleasant, and adorable
companion ratties. Our girls are approaching 2 years at this point,
and are going strong! They always get compliments on how cute and
smart they are. During the adoption process, Desiree was very communicative
as to the progress of the breeding, resulting genders and phenotypes,
and always available to answer questions or offer care recommendations.
We will most certainly be returning again and again - highly recommended!"

We found Desiree while looking for a rat breeder. After
letting Desiree know we were interested, she matched us up with the
perfect set of brothers. She was very professional to deal with. The
rats are all healthy, neat, and have a sweet disposition. We would
recommend her to any friends interested in rats. She took the time
to talk to us about their pedigree and showed us their mother, father,
and grandfather. Any questions we’ve had, she has answered and
we hope to maintain a relationship with her.

I purchased 2 females from you in February of 2011 and
they are wonderful! Flower and Jasmine are the sweetest little girls.
They are so licky! So far they have not had any health problems too.

My Thoughts on Adopting out/selling my rats
Each of my rats is sold on a strict contract, and I only adopt out
to people that I have done some type of screening which begins with
my adoption form. My feelings on this is, I brought the litter into
the world therefore I am responsible for their care for their life
time.. This also means, to find them homes that will care for them
as well as I do, or better! This is why I am here for my adopters
through out the life time of their rats.
